I got this line on Sunday night before Lamar Jackson’s thumb injury had been digested by the league, it’s fans, or Vegas.  

We immediately locked it in and made contest this our Lock of the Week.

As of game time, the spread has ballooned to 10.5, and at that number we would take the Magpies as our Upset  of the Week.

We have to stick with our first instinct, but we are a little worried.

Everyone and their grandmas are taking the Road Favorite Jaguars and giving the points--even the 10.5!

I’ve been doing this long enough to know when the public, the Sharps and everyone else is on one side of a wager--the other side is the hot bet.  I would’ve seriously considered changing sides IF...

Derek Henry hasn’t lost at least half a step...If John Harbaugh was still coaching in Baltimore...If the Crow’s third string QB had any kind of track record...If Baltimore was any kind of Home Dog juggernaut...If the Jags weren’t playing like top-tier playoff team.

Truth is I have no idea how a game like this--where the wagering winds are blowing hard in one direction--is going to turn out, but my criteria and the Spread scream Jacksonville.

I’ll listen to that clamor--even though I might regret it.
